Togetherness
16/06/2008 22:26
In
this day, at this time, the Lord is looking for couples to
demonstrate the level of commitment to each other, submissiveness
to each other as His Word indicates – a level of
‘togetherness’.
Many are being trained into this,
those of you that have been have often talked to each other about
doing things ‘together’, this is not an accident, this has been the
Spirit at work within you. Some have been pre-runners to this level
of commitment,a nd have spoken through their commitment to each
other prophetically, but now is the time the Lord is saying for
many to begin to step
forward.
This is to apply to the whole gambit of marriage, a wife to husband, a husband to
wife, children to parents, parents to children - it is to flow into church life.
The Lord says to couples “the 2 are now 1”.
There are roles for each to perform within the marriage, which is a holy thing, and
there is need for the marriage to demonstrate to the church this is how the church is to function, a level of commitment to each other, a level of togetherness, a level of love that is not widely apparent as yet within the church.
This togetherness within marriage, within family, within the church is an earthly
demonstration of the level of commitment that the Lord has with us, and a
demonstration of the level of togetherness that he wishes to have with us. Just as
Adam and Eve walked in the garden in the cool of the evening, so the Lord wishes to walk with us.
Is He committed to us? – think of the old Testament, think of the plan of redemption
which was to demonstrate to the world (even universe), the level of love that the Lord has for us – all of us (there is no-one left out of this equation!).
And the Lord wants to use this to demonstrate it is not a one sided affair – He loving
us (“He has poured his love into our hearts” – Romans 5:5).
If we think this is all there is – that we won’t have a level of relationship with Him
beyond that which we have now – the Lord says think again!
If this is touching you would you pray this “Lord here we are, you’ve been working in us in this ‘togetherness’, use us as You wish, continue Lord to work in us for the sake of Your glory, amen”
